November 2024 News:

On Monday 4th November Buck & Co were proud to attend The Goldsmiths Hall, London for Alexandra to receive the 2024 Anderson Medal from the Gemmological Association of Great Britain.

​Named in honour of the Gemmologist Basil W. Anderson, this medal is awarded to the best set of exam papers in the foundation category for that year, worldwide. It was a proud moment, but also a touching one as it was also in The Goldsmiths Hall that Trevor graduated on completion of his Goldsmithing and Diamond Mounting qualifications.

Alexandra was honoured to have been presented with the medal by Robin Hansen, a distinguished Geologist and Curator of Minerals and Gemstones at the Natural History Museum, London. The surroundings were beautiful, and the  ceremony was followed up by a most enjoyable drinks reception!

Buck & Co. are further supporting Alexandra in her continuing professional development as a Gemmologist as she will be undertaking the prestigious Gem A Diploma in 2025.
