Certificate in GemINTRO

Alexandra, has recently completed the certificate in GemINTRO with The Gemmological Association of Great Britain. This qualification has provided her a better understanding of coloured gemstones and their value and quality. Alexandra is currently working towards her next qualification with The Gemmological Association of Great Britain, which will allow her to offer the services of a qualified Gemmologist in the near future.

Trevor trained originally at Lanchester Polytechnic, Coventry, in the Faculty of Art and Design and then went on to the Birmingham School of Jewellery and Silver Smithing (Birmingham University) in the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter in Hockey, Birmingham. Having gained a distinction in the Advanced Craft City and Guilds, he now has over forty years experience in the Jewellery profession, and has worked on commission work with clients from both the UK and in Europe.

Alexandra is at present studying with The Gemmological Association of Great Britain and is involved in purchasing all the gems for Buck & Co, for both repairs and client commissions. She particularly enjoys meeting with clients for gemstone viewings, where the clients can choose the specific gemstones they wish for their commission pieces. Alexandra also designs some of the commission pieces that are produced for clients, as well as taking in repairs and meeting shop clients on a daily basis.
